Law to increase the proportion of women in leadership positions
Under the May 2015 law on the equal participation of women and men in leadership positions in the private and public sector, certain companies in Germany are required to set targets for the proportion of women on the supervisory board, executive board, and the two management levels below, and to specify a deadline for meeting these targets.
For the Business Area Elevator Technology, this applies to the following legal entities: thyssenkrupp Elevator AG, thyssenkrupp Aufzüge GmbH, and thyssenkrupp Aufzugswerke GmbH. Here you can find the individual targets for these entities.
On August 27, 2015, the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp Elevator AG set a target of 12.5 percent women on the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp Elevator AG. For the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Elevator AG a target of 30 percent women was set. In addition, for the first management level, the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Elevator AG has adopted a target of zero percent, and for the second management level a target of 25 percent. For all targets the implementation period is until June 30, 2017.
